GAME SCHEDULES

Please have patience. It takes time for the League to determine the game schedules for each individual team.

  • There are 27 areas that participate in the Junior Football League of Central Illinois (JFLOCI).
  • Each area has between 5 to 17 teams
  • The 2014 East Peoria JFL had 5 tackle teams and 5 flag teams.

 

The league will let us know where to play the first weekend of games.

A complete season schedule for each team will be available: TBD.

We will post each team schedule on our Game Schedules page.

Directions and Maps are available on our Map page.

Hard copies will be given to each Head Coach when they become available.

FUNDRAISER

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE IN THE FUNDRAISER?

 

The Fundraiser is a critical portion of the EPJFL and the Junior Football League of Central Illinois (JFLOCI).

Football leagues in the Chicago area charge a straight fee of $350 per player per year. This fee does not purchase the equipment for the player, but is the cost for the player to just be involved.

The JFLOCI and EPJFL have maintained a low Registration fee for the past 10 years. This registration covers only a portion of the organization’s cost. The fundraiser is what allows us to subsidize the other cost not covered by the $85 registration fee :

  • Officals for each game. Over 85 games are played each weekend, with 4 to 5 Officals per game.
  • Insurance. Every person present on a practice or playing field is covered by the JFLOCI policy.
  • Seasonal Equipment needs and Equipment Upgrades. All Seasonal Equipment purchases and Equipment upgrades (Jerseys, Shoulder Pads, Helmets, Pants, Pant pads, etc.) are funded by the Fundraiser.
  • General Administration for 27 Areas.

  • Forms will be distributed on Equipment Handout Day – TBD

Form Collection.

  • Flag Forms are due: TBD 
  • Tackle Forms are due: TBD 
  • Turn in your forms to your Head Coach, Team Mom or Concession Stand. 

Item Delivery.

  • Flag – TBD

  • Fundraiser items will be delivered at 5:30pm.
  • Parents must pickup and sign for their child’s items.
  • All items will be distributed out of the back of the deliver truck.
  • It will be dark if you wait to pick them up at the end of practice.

Money Collection.

  • All money is due on the above dates. 
  • Fundraiser money is to be turned in at the Concession Stand window.

Prize Delivery.

  • Prizes will be handed out at the end of the season banquet.

Late Payments

  • Pictures will not be delivered to anyone that has not paid.

VALIDATION

Validation is an absolute requirement of the Junior Football League, and is conducted by League Officers at the East Peoria JFL Practice Field.

Validation day is an Un-padded practice day.

Valid proof of age. Each player must have one of the following at the time of validation :

  • County Certified Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate
  • Public Aid Card
  • School Letter (complete with name and age, and signed by principal).

Weight.

  • Each player will be weighed by the league officer on an official league scale.
  • Each team will weigh together.
  • Each player will be weighed ONE time, and that will be their official weight.
  • Players have the option of wearing or removing their shoes at the time of weighing.

Divisions.

  • All players will be placed by their age. 
  • There is NO MINIMUM or MAXIMUM weight for each age group only NBC and NON NBC weights.

NEW TACKLE AGE LEVELS AND WEIGHTS BEGINING 2019 SEASON

8yr Over 80lbs are NBC

9U Over 90lbs are NBC

10U over 100lbs are NBC

11U over 115lbs are NBC

12U over 130lbs are NBC

14U over 155lbs are NBC

REGISTRATION

Registration Opens May 1st and ends July 15th.

All Players must be no older than 8yrs old as of September 1st – No Exceptions

If a player turns 8yrs old after Spetember 1st that player will be placed in the flag program and can advance to tackle the following year

All players must be at least 5yrs old by September 1st of that season.

EQUIPMENT

ALL EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTED IS PROPERTY OF THE EAST PEORIA JFL.

PLEASE, REVIEW OUR EQUIPMENT POLICIES BELOW.

EQUIPMENT WILL BE DISTRIBUTED Saturday before 1st practice of the Season. 

 JFL Field at Doerring Park (Practice Field).

  • 14U- 9:00am to 9:30am
  • 12U – 9:30am to 10:00am
  • 11U -10:00am to 10:30am
  • 10U – 10:30am to 11:00am
  • 9U -11:00am to 11:30am
  • 8U 11:30am to 12:00am
  • All Equipment is first come first serve, including Jersey Numbers.
  • Anyone that does not receive equipment at the above scheduled times must coordinate through their Head Coach to be fitted.

COST OF EQUIPMENT

All equipment is issued free of charge. The following list is the cost to replace lost equipment or un-returned equipment. Please see below for information on damaged equipment, lost equipment, and our return policy.

  • Helmet – $90.00
  • Shoulder Pads – $60.00
  • Jersey – $60.00
  • Game Pants – $25.00
  • Mouth Guard – $2.00
  • Total Cost : $237.00

GAME JERSEYS & READY TO WEAR PANTS

  • Any jerseys or pants damaged due to improper care including cleaning will be replaced once the JFL has been reimbursed for the cost of the item.

EQUIPMENT THAT IS THE WRONG SIZE OR DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY

  • Do not come to the administration building requesting to exchange equipment.
  • All equipment must be exchanged through your Head Coach.

DAMAGED EQUIPMENT

  • Damaged or broken equipment may be returned for a replacement, free of charge.
  • The damaged or broken equipment must be turned in at the time of the exchange to receive the replacement.
  • Do not come to the administration building requesting to exchange equipment.
  • All equipment must be exchanged through your Head Coach.

LOST EQUIPMENT

  • All parents/players are responsible to reimburse the JFL for any equipment that is lost.
  • Reimbursements must be made at the time of replacement.

RETURN OF EQUIPMENT

  • Turn-In Date : TBD
  • All equipment must be returned by the scheduled Turn-In Date.
  • Anyone that does not return equipment by the Turn-In Date will reimburse the JFL for the Total Cost of the equipment. See Above Pricing.

QUIT MID-SEASON

  • Anyone that quits mid-season, must return all equipment immediately.
  • Please bring the equipment to the Administration Building at the JFL Practice field.

UN-RETURNED EQUIPMENT

The JFL will use all legal means to recoup the cost of unreturned equipment. All legal means include contacting the East Peoria Police Department and/or the Tazewell County Attorney General to aid in the return of the equipment or the cost of the equipment as stated above.
