JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE ZERO TOLERANCE
The purpose of the Junior Football League of Central Illinois (J.F.L.O.C.I.) is to provide an environment that encourages everyone to participate in learning the fundamentals of tackle football, and have fun while doing so. Sportsmanship is essential in all of our area programs. Sportsmanship includes behavior and attitude from players, coaches, officials, parents, cheerleaders and fans.
In an effort to encourage a positive support base for everyone, The J.F.L.O.C.I. has adopted a Zero Tolerance Policy. The goal of this policy is not only to promote sportsmanship, but also to encourage positive and effective communication between area boards, coaches, players, officials and parents.
Therefore, Coaches/Directors, Family Members and Spectators that demonstrate behavior that is detrimental to any area program may be removed from that respective program. Detrimental behavior is defined as physical and/or verbal abuse towards any participant, coach or official at any time. Vulgar language, Physical Abuse or Gestures WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Fans are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with good sportsmanship. Coaches are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Coaches Code of Ethics. Violators during JFLOCI functions will be ejected. If it is a Coach or Director, the responsible parties will be brought before the Infractions Committee for action up to expulsion.
I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, encouragement and sportsmanship for all players, coaches, directors, officials and fans at every game, practice or other youth event. I will promise to be a respectful fan and remember that the game is for children and not for the adults.
All practices are conducted at the East Peoria JFL field in Sunnyland at George Doering Park.
We require that all parent’s ESCORT their child to/from their designated practice area. This is for the safety of the player. No coach will release a player without a Parent and/or Guardian present.
Please be available to pick up your child promptly at the designated time per your Head Coach’s policy.
Practice begins promptly at 5:30pm. It is recommended that every player should be at the field at 5:15pm. This will allow them time to get their pads on and be ready to begin.
Each coach will have their own policy for players that show up late to practice or absent. If you are going to be late to practice or absent, please take the time to contact your head coach and make them aware. Unexcused absences may result in less playing time.
Practice will end between 7 to 7:30pm, or as light allows. Each head coach will inform you as to when they will end practice. Younger teams typically end around 7pm, older teams will typically end around 7:30pm.
As the season progresses, it will get darker, earlier. Practices will end at Dusk, irregardless of the time.
The East Peoira JFL and JFLOCI attempts to minimize and eliminate injuries in it’s program.
Injuries may occur and we request that all injuries, no matte how small, be reported immediately to your Head Coach.
The safety and well being of your child is our number one priority.
If an injury occurs :
All insurance claims are handled through the Accident Report. The Accident Report must be completed the day of the accident and give to the Director or Acting Director. The Accident Report will then be forwarded on to the League for processing.
