COACH’S POLICIES
Flag Practice
- starts at 5:30 or 6:00.
- 1 hour practice
- 3 practices per week until games begin, then 2 per week
- you decide what days to practice on, then let me know your schedule
Tackle Practice
- starts at 5:30.
- end at dusk, please
- Squirts, Pee Wee & JV – express importance of parents coming to field to pickup their child

Weather
- Weather Policy
- If there is bad weather, you make the decision whether to practice or not
- If you cancel practice, I should be the first call at (309) 648-2424
- If there is Thunder or Lightning there should not be practice
- Stay off the main field if there is heavy rain
Accidents

- ALL ACCIDENTS MUST BE REPORTED AND DOCUMENTED THAT DAY
- Turn in all reports to me the day of the accident
Equipment
- Designate a coach to handle all equipment issues
- Please, don’t overwhelm us on Day 1.
- Chris Betz and Chris Billingsley are the Equipment Contacts
- Get with them, and they will help you with Equipment Issues

Fundraiser
- See our Fundraiser page for how the Fundraiser progresses
- Promote the Fundraiser each day at your end of practice talk
- I will be keeping you and your Team Mom up to date on what is due
Validation Day
- Be familiar with the information on our Validation Page
- Inform all players to be at the field at 5:15pm sharp
- Validation day there will be no practice period.
- Validation day only takes 15 minutes to do every team
- At 5:30pm, have your team lined up on the Practice Field
- I will have a hand-out, where I want your team to lined up and ready to go
- We will start with Squirts and end with Seniors. This give the baseball kids some time.
Picture Day
- Be familiar with the information on the Picture Day Page
- Everyone must be at the field at 5:15pm with Game equipment
- I will have a hand-out, where I want your team lined up and ready to go along with the order for teams
High School Games
- We have an issue with the High School on kids wearing Jersey’s and running around

- Enforce our policy with your parent’s and player’s.
- If you wear a Jersey, sit in the stands
Volunteers
- As usual it will be up to you and the team mom’s to find volunteers for game days

- Every Monday, begin working on this, please don’t wait till Thursday
- We need 3 for Chain Gang and 2 for the Concession Stand
- Christian Windell and Kibby Flores need to know by Thursday evening who is working in the concessions stand
Game Days – Home Games
- Saturday morning – I need 1 from the first team to play coach to be at the field at 7 am to help set up the field
- Saturday – last game – whoever is playing last game, we need coach’s to stay and help clean up field equipment
- Sunday morning – I need 1 12U coach to be at the field at 11am to help set up the field
- Sunday – Senior Game – we need 14U Coach’s to stay and help clean up field equipment
Eastside Weekend
- If the weather holds, I will need help from each coach at Eastside
- I would like you to be available to stay for one game after your scheduled game

TEAM MOM POLICIES
Accident Reports

- Accident Report (PDF)
- All accidents need to be reported and recorded the day of the accident.
- Turn the form into to the Director as soon as possible.
- All accidents requiring a player to go to the doctor or hospital, need to have a doctor’s release.
- This release must be approved by Fred before the player can participate.
Quitters
- Please report any players that you suspect have quit.
- We need to begin working on getting their equipment, and any money they may owe for the fundraiser.
Mandatory Parent’s Meeting, JULY 29th
- I will have a handout on JULY 20th at equipment handout as a reminder.
Team Books due August 1st , Thursday.
- Review each player’s paperwork.
- Signatures. Obtain all needed signatures (both parent’s and player’s). For single parents, place N/A in the other blank.
- Medical information. As much as possible.
- Contact Numbers. Review contact phone numbers with parents. We want the easiest way to contact them in case of an emergency.
- Birth Certificates. Be sure everyone has a birth certificate. We either need to pull birth certificates we have on file, or they need to bring us a County Certified birth certificate.
- Team books must be completed by August TBD and turned in. (When I find out when validation is, I will let you know when they are due)
Medical Status Spreadsheets due August 12th
- It is important that we complete these spreadsheets as soon as possible
- We need to know what medications the players are on. What allergies they have. Do they require special treatment?
- Please complete these, and turn a copy into the Director.
Validation will begin the week of August 5th
- All team books must be completed and turned in on August 20th.
- The team books will be returned to you after validation.
- The League registration form will be removed from the book and stapled to the birth certificate.
- The day of validation, please, meet at the Pavilion around 5:15pm.
- I will show you how the teams will line up, and in what order we want them.
- We will have all teams line up on the Practice Field and wait for their turn.
- Validation only takes 15 minutes to do everyone.

Fundraiser Forms Due, August 23rd
- Enusure that everyone has recieved a Fundraiser Packet.
- After Validation, our main focus will be collection of the Fundraiser forms.
- Begin stressing these forms everyday and when they are due.
- Have the coach make a daily announcement.
- I will have a hand out as a reminder on August TBD.
- If they make payment, we need to note this on the form, and the money needs to be in an envelope.

Validation Make-Up
- Anyone not validated on August 21st, must go to the Validation Make-up.
- I will have a hand-out and directions to the League Building.
- All parent’s are responsible for taking their child to the Make-up Validation
- Anyone that does not do the Make-up Validation will not play, and there will be No refunds.
Picture Day, Sept 6th
- I will have a hand-out as a reminder on Sept 3rd.
- Everyone must be at the field at 5:15pm
- The group picture will be at 5:30pm
- The day of, all teams should go directly to the practice field and line up according to the hand-out.
- After the group picture, I would like all Team Mom’s to meet at the Admin Building.
- We will then coordinate the order for the teams.

Game days
- Volunteers. Every Monday, before a Home game weekend, you will be give a sign-up form for volunteers.
- Please, be vigilant in getting volunteers. We must have these figured out by that Thursday.
- We need 3 for the chain gang, and 2 for the concessions stand.
- Please, turn in your volunteer sheet to Dina or Angie in the concession stand by Thursday.
- Dina and Angie will need this information for planning.

Schedules and Maps
- Maps are available on our MAPS page. Feel free to use the copier upstairs.
- I will let you know when and where you are playing on the first weekend of games.
- Schedules will be available the week of September 13th.
- I will give each Head Coach a copy, and I will post a copy in the foyer.
- Schedules will be posted to the website the week of September 13th.
Sportmanship Forms due every Monday
- Head Coaches need to complete their Sportmanship forms every Monday.
- Please, keep on them, they tend to forget.
- Turn these forms into Jeff every Monday, before the end of practice.
Fundraiser Delivery
- Flag delivery will be TBD.
- Tackle delivery will be TBD.
- I will have a hand-out for a reminder on TBD.
- I will need all Team Mom’s to help with the deliveries.
- The day of delivery the truck will park in front of the basketball hoop.
- Each Parent should pick up their delivery early starting at 5:30pm
- Have each Parent confirm their delivery and sign for it.

Fundraiser Money Due TBD.
- I will have a hand-out as a reminder on the Delivery days.
- All fundraiser money must be placed in an envelope and marked accordingly
- All fundraiser money is to be turned into the Concessions Stand.
- Pictures will not be given to anyone that has not paid
- If necessary, helmets will be pulled for any player that has not paid

Eastside Weekend on TBD.
- We will need volunteers for Eastside Weekend.
- 3 for Chain Gang and 3 from each team for the Concession Stand.
- As usual, we will have a Sign-Up Sheet for the volunteers.
- This is a big day for us. As long as we don’t have rain.
- Please, have your sign-up sheet turned into Dina or Angie by Thursday.

Homecoming Parade on TBD
- Kim Presley is in charge of coordinating the Homecoming Parade
- All players must be signed up by Tuesday, September 21st.
- The Parade sign-up sheet will be in the Concessions Stand

Picture Handout the week of TBD
- Brett Walton is in charge of our Pictures
- TSS will deliver our pictures to the field
- Once the majority of Fundraiser Money has been collected for each team, we will work on handing out pictures.
- I will need each Team Mom to help separate the pictures and coach’s plaques.
- I will keep the coach’s plaques for end of season banquet.
- Please, deliver the pictures to your team, and report any problems or missing pictures.

8th Grader’s Recognized
- At the last home game for the Varsity and Senior Teams, we will recognize all 8th graders and their parents
- I will need a list of all 8th graders along with their parent’s names and how they want them announced.
- I will need a volunteer to order and pickup flowers for each player’s mother.
Trophies
- If we are talking trophies, we are almost done. YEAAAAH.
- I will need all names for Ironman by Wed, October 20th.
- I will bring the trophies to the field on Monday, Oct 25th.
- I will have a large Team Mom and Coach’s meeting on Oct 28th. Each coach can take their trophies and plaques at that time.
Banquet
- I don’t know if we will have a large banquet or individual at this time. Check back.
